breakingthe artist's auction record.
92.5 percent of lots were sold across four sessions of ancient Chinese calligraphy and painting, setting a new world record for the highest deal rate of this sector.
Dong Qichang's Landscape and Calligraphy was sold for 74.75 million yuan, making it the highest auction price fetched at the Grand View of this year’s Spring Auctions.
Real-time online bidding sold 30 percent of all lots, totaling 135 millionyuan.

After more than half a year’s disruptions caused by the pandemic,“spring” finally descends upon us. We’re more than satisfied with the result we’ve achieved for a China Guardian 2020 Spring Auctions riddled with uncertainty and challenge.
Characterized by vigorous bidding and surprises, the five-day event bore fruit, achieving a total turnover of 1.59 billion yuan ($230 million). Zhou Chunya’s masterpiece Spring is Coming emerged at the auction and fetched the highest price at 86.25 million yuan, breaking the artist’s auction record.
Deal highlights abounded throughout the auctions. Dong Qichang’s Landscape and Calligraphy, was sold for 74.75 millionyuan; a set of Zhang Daqian’s five paintings fetched 82.11 million yuan; and a set of FuBaoshi’s four sketches was sold at 66.47 million yuan. In addition, the session of ceramics totaled 154 million yuan, and sessions featuring furniture,guqin, carpet, wine, autographs and manuscripts, all sold out.
The stellar deals achieved at the Spring Auctions have helped dispelled the haze that has enveloped the art market. So with regained confidence, China Guardian will keep up the good work through upgrading its structure and online platforms.

Wine:The Kweichou Mou-taiChiew session achieved the eighth 100 percent turnover rate.
